This is so strange? Ive never heard of this issue before and never experienced this, I cant see the screenshot you posted? Do you mind editing your reply and uploading the screenshot to Imgur or something then posting the link here so I can see the screenshot?
I have never tested the mod with this 'lk_ucminimap_v1.1.pk3' Do you mind removing that mod and just allocate the included mods only for debugging purposes and start a new game.

Regarding the HUD I have fixed this already, its now fully scalable and will be released on the next main update. I posted a screenshot of the new HUD a few pages back.
