I want to thank the community for always bringing excellent mods about Doom and its derivatives. I'm playing the campaign with my cousin and we're having a great time. The Tome of Mana and Book of Crafting system is very interesting and helps a lot in situations where we need resources. I have two doubts.

1. The HUD is quite big, i tried to adjust it to a suitable size but i didn't find that option. The HUD itself is pretty cool just like a classic RPG, but the size made me uncomfortable. Is there a way to adjust it?

2. About the pet system, do you intend to bring more options besides the Golem?

Hugs from Brazil!!
Greetings Octurion and hope you are good.

That's great that you are setting up Coop mode, hope you enjoy Brutal Hexen. Regarding the GUI you can use '-' and '+' to resize the GUI/Screen. Also hopefully in a future update more companions can be implemented, hope this helps.

Hi. Like the previous user who posted I also think the hud is too big. Pressing + and - doesn't do anything. I prefer the alternative hud, I think it looks nicer and neater but doesn't show flechette count. Another problem I'm having is my control setting changes are not saved when I exit. Example is flechette, I want to change it to mouse 4. Works in game but defaults back to E when I exit.

This is strange indeed, I don't know what source port you are using so check the Options/Controls/Increase Display Size and check for the key input. You maybe using the numpad keys.

Seems the controls worked on an older version of gzdoom, the ini saves the config, then when you start Hexen, some of the keys revert back to default. To be honest gzdoom is a complete mess right now. They force unscaled main menu by default so new players don't know how to fix it, they hide the setting which isn't on the casual simple options, you have to disable simple settings to get to Menu Scaling. They also broke the main menu background, its now stretched by default, its a total mess. Shaders/Post Process effects are bugged and un-optimized in newer versions of gzdoom.

I provided a custom ini to fix most of these issues for now included with Brutal Hexen. Please make sure you allocate the config.

Hi.
Your work here looks really promising.
Could you please help me out with the megawad?
Thanks
Greetings QRunner and hope you are good.

I appreciate the feedback. Sent you over a DM regarding the MegaWAD.

Greetings, everybody! Adm, can you send me the MegaWAD referred in the description necessary to play this awesome mod?
Hello, I'm trying to play brutal hexen but I can't get past the weapon selection because I'm using controllers without a mouse....
it is possible to modify that menu to default to the first option with something in "brutal hexen settings" to change it?
.. or perhaps set the cursor position to default hovering over the first option?
.. or something else along those lines so that it doesn't prevent entry to gameplay without a mouse.

I'd take a stab at putting in a workaround myself, but I'm not nearly familiar enough with menus and stuff like that yet. I had a look at the script in slade, but I only saw one of the classes in there and figured I was in the wrong spot.

Thanks
Greetings and hope you are good.

WellGod sent you over a DM regarding the MegaWAD, hope you enjoy Brutal Hexen and thankyou.

Vokar regarding the cursor framework, you mention 'controllers' as in VR controllers? I am working on this, tried many attempts last year but I don't own VR tech so updates are slow.

If it's a standard PS/Xbox controller, you could use something like Joytokey and allocate mouse input to analogue or a Steam controller has a built-in trackpad. Anyway using a controller in Brutal Hexen is heresy!

Hi ZDL, thanks for the reply!

Yes, I was going to use an xbox controller, but I decided (determined, haha) to use VR controllers.
I noticed that in the script "RPGSTUFF" there is only logic for the warrior, where is the logic for the other classes?
I managed to move the prompts for the warrior weapons to the bottom of the screen, which should allow me to select it in VR (the cursor was visible in VR, but stuck at the bottom with no way to move it up/down). I haven't had a chance to test in VR yet, but on desktop it looked like it would work. Unfortunately, after compiling the script with those changes, the other classes broke Sad
